UNH: Romney 44%, Paul 20%, Santorum 8% en NH

WMUR:
Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney is holding a commanding lead in the New Hampshire primary race for the Republican presidential nomination, though many voters remain undecided, according to a new poll.

The WMUR/University of New Hampshire poll shows that 44 percent of likely Republican primary voters would choose Romney, up from 39 percent two weeks ago.

U.S. Rep. Ron Paul of Texas has climbed into second place, with 20 percent support. Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich are both at 8 percent, followed closely by former Utah Gov. John Huntsman at 7 percent.

Texas Gov. Rick Perry and former Louisiana Gov. Buddy Roemer are at 1 percent support. Fred Karger polled at less than 1 percent.

The poll shows Santorum and Gingrich going in different directions. Support for Santorum has increased by 5 percentage points since late December, while Gingrich dropped 9 percentage points in the past two weeks.

"If Rick Santorum is able to capture second place, that's going to be a huge story and a huge boost for him going into South Carolina, which is much more friendly turf for him," said pollster Andy Smith of the UNH Survey Center.

Although the primary is just days away, there is still a lot of room for movement. In the poll, 37 percent said they have definitely decided who they will support, 26 percent are leaning toward a candidate, and 37 percent are still trying to decide.
